LyondellBasell Bike Around the Bay
Ride Details

Thank you for your interest in the second annual LyondellBasell Bike Around the Bay, benefiting the Galveston Bay Foundation. We hope you share our excitement with this unique ride, it promises to be another great time for everyone.

The Route
The route will be very similar to last year's route.  The start on Saturday will be at Fort Anahuac Park in Anahuac, Texas at 8:00 a.m.  Sunday's start will be from Moody Gardens at 7:30 a.m.  This is 30 minutes earlier than last year so that we can cross the causeway earlier.  The one difference in the route is that we will avoid last year's finish along Highway 565 in Baytown.  Instead, we will direct riders along the newly finished segment of the Grand Parkway around the edge of Baytown.  This four lane, divided highway has 10 foot wide shoulders and passes along the eastern edge of Houston Raceway Park, thereby removing the need to travel along 565.

Registration Charges
The registration fee for this year's ride will be $110 from June 1 to June 30.  The fee will rise to $120 on July 1 and stay at that level until October 1 when it will rise to $140.  Online registration will close at the end of October 13.  Dinner and the beach party at Moody Garden's will be an additional fee of $20.  Dinner will include a full buffet spread with pasta, chicken, shrimp, vegetables, dessert and drink tickets.  Kelly McGuire will be providing entertainment at the beach party.

The Galveston Bay Foundation thanks you for your participation in this event. Please contact us with any questions you have info@bikearoundthebay.org
